My computer is infected with a virus called autorun.jax

If you have nothing worth saving on the hard drive then you could nuke and pave which is a clean install of Windows. It wipes everything but it will give you a clean version of Windows that is not infected. A video is here. If on the other hand you want to clean the system then you can watch this video which describes a safe boot procedure. If you want to create a bootable antivirus disk then this site will help. Just be sure to create the disk or USB on another clean system.
