Question with Dell Inspiron 560 motherboard for Mac Pro case mod project?
Hello I purchased an LGA-775 Inspiron 560 Motherboard under the guise that the seller said that it was an mATX board. I'm starting to have second thoughts though; is it indeed an mATX board, or am I sol and have to purchase another motherboard? Any and all answers appreciated.

The Dell motherboards are proprietary. They do not have complete compatible mounting holes. The front panel connections are proprietary and undocumented. Not a good candidate for a building project.
In addition the Inspiron 560 is old technology hardware and was built during the Windows 7 era.

Yeah the proprietary nature of OEM boards is they are designed for a specific model and chassis. Not a good choice for a custom build. Of course you have also added to the problems using a Apple case as well which is also designed exclusively for certain hardware.
