Wake from sleep Inspiron 3552

When putting my laptop in sleep mode the only way to wake it is by pushing the "Power" button.

Is there some place where I can have it "Wake" by hitting any key or movement of the mouse?

Windows 10 Pro 1803

Wireless keyboard K380 and mouse

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi jl747,

Thanks for posting.  Apologies that your system is not performing as expected.

The normal design of the system and the normal performance of "sleep" mode is to disable the wireless card while "sleeping", so there would not be any connection with the wireless keyboard and wireless mouse.  Have you tried tapping the keyboard on the laptop or touching the touchpad to wake it from sleep?

You may be able to enable a wake up mode from the system bios.

Thanks for your reply.

You said, "You may be able to enable a wake up mode from the system bios."

I believe that is where I found the answer.

By modifying the BIOS.

You can do this by enabling "USB Wake Support"

So this has worked.
