how to add SSD to laptop without removing HDD DELL 5447

Hi I am planning to upgrade the storage for my dell 5447 laptop, i already have an 1TB HDD which comes by default. Is it possible to add SSD to laptop without removing HDD DELL 5447? Please Advise. Thanks Krishnakumar

The 5447 does not have an M.2 slot so the only drive that can be installed would be in the location of the HDD you already have. You can replace the HDD with an SSD which would increase performance noticeably and you could clone the HDD to the SSD.

Your system only supports 1 SATA hard drive. No SSD is supported.

Hi,

I am planning to replace the existing 1 TB HDD in my Dell Inspiron i5 5447 with an SSD, I need at least 1 TB or More what is the maximum size of SSD I can use to replace my existing HDD and also request you to suggest the one with best performance which is compatible with my system.

I have replaced the existing 1TB HDD with the following SSD (250GB). I am not sure about the maximum size it can support.

Note : As mentioned above in previous comment, there is no direct support for SSD.
