Alias for Smart Quota notification mail
We have set up Smart Quotas with email notification for directories. Notification rules include the "Notify owner" flag. This works nicely for most directories where the owner is from one of our authentication providers. However, some directories are owned by an identity local to the PowerScale system, e.g. root.
Upon a quota event for these directories mail is sent to a non-valid mail address like root@my-company.com. On one of my Linux systems I would easily fix by simply defining an alias for root in /etc/aliases. Is there a similar option on PowerScale? I might ask our postmasters to create an address like root@my-company.com in the mailing systems and forward these mails to me, of course. But I would like to fix this issue local on PowerScale without having to go through oneFS and changing the ownership on hundreds of directories or, alternatively, revising all quota notification rules.
Any suggestions? Any help is much appreciated.

Hi,
Thanks for your question about smartquota email alerts. I don’t see anything that allows you to change where it is sending it only the address it is sending from. https://dell.to/3yxjNyn

Hello,
thank you very much indeed for the link and the confirmation that this is a non-configurable property. I will check with our postmasters on how to deal with these messages.
