How to create a vLAG with Brocade VDX6740 10GbE switch

Having problem creating a vLAG for a dual-10GbE client on 2 Brocade VDX6740 switches in a logical chassis mode.

Here's what I have at the moment:

2 10G interfaces, 1/0/33 and 2/0/33 and a port-channel (133):

vdx2# show run interface Port-channel 133

interface Port-channel 133

vlag ignore-split

switchport

switchport mode access

switchport access vlan 1

spanning-tree shutdown

no shutdown

!

vdx2# show run interface Port-channel 133

interface Port-channel 133

vlag ignore-split

switchport

switchport mode access

switchport access vlan 1

spanning-tree shutdown

no shutdown

!

vdx2# show running-config interface TenGigabitEthernet 1/0/33

interface TenGigabitEthernet 1/0/33

no fabric isl enable

no fabric trunk enable

channel-group 133 mode active type standard

lacp timeout long

no shutdown

!

vdx2# show running-config interface TenGigabitEthernet 2/0/33

interface TenGigabitEthernet 2/0/33

no fabric isl enable

no fabric trunk enable

channel-group 133 mode active type standard

lacp timeout long

no shutdown

vdx2# show port-channel 133

Hi malin,

Which interface do you have for the pool membership on the Isilon cluster? What does the ifconfig output show for the aggregated interface?

Hi, sjones5,

The client is a NFS client with a dual 10GbE NIC that will access the data

on the Isilon cluster through the brocade fabric.

The cluster itself is fully configured and can be accessed from NFS clients

through single 10GbE switchports

on the brocade VDX switches. The question has more to do with how to

configure vLAGs on the VDX switches.

cheers,

jf
