How to integrate ISILON with existing hadoop ecosystem
HI.. we have hadoop cluster of 50+ nodes with Dell servers internal drives of each node 48TB, how can we leverage ISILON solution, i did not find any technical specification on using ISOLON to upgrade compute node, i found that we need create multi namespace. Are there any different use cases to migrate data from DAS to ISILON etc. i do have below queries. if we plan to migrate data from DAS to ISILON, then do we need distribute master node services. so name nodes will be on ISILON nodes only? any additional nodes require like special client nodes for ISILON integration.? if we plan to use as a extension to our existing hdfs like expand storage space in hadoop echosystem. do we need to copy certain datasets to ISILON hdfs and modify app config to point to ISILON hdfs URL? can we have existing master nodes and ISILON namenodes in the same hadoop echosystem? Thanks VP
