Isilon - NFS Export Wiped Out After Code Upgrade

Community,
We had 3 different clusters with code upgrades we had to perform this past weekend. Code upgrades from OneFS 7.1.1.8 to 7.2.1.4 on all 3 clusters. I wanted to know is this might have been a undocumented known issue that the NFS export will get wiped out after code upgrade from 7.1.1.8 to 7.2.1.4? If so how do we stop this from happening when we upgrade the remaining clusters to 7.2.1.4?

Thank you,

Chjatwork,

Is there an SR created? If yes, what is the SR?

That's odd and I'm curious what they'll find out in your SR.  We use NFS extensively and did about 10 upgrades from 7.1.1.7 to 7.2.1.3 and didn't see this issue.

hmm.  To be honest I didn't recognize any issues myself, but the other engineers that was working another cluster said that the exports had disappeared.  They also said that the cluster I had upgraded exports was erased too.  Granted I did a status of the exports before I upgraded and did another status of the exports and they all seemed to be present.  Granted I didn't go line for line as there are nearly a hundred entries.  But they said that they had to re-configured them all after I had finished the upgrade.  I don't know.  I am just posing the question to see if anyone else have seen this?
