Microsoft PST files and Performance

I need to know if there is a performance impact ON the Isilon by having PST files placed and used there or is there a performance issue experienced by the end user experience?

I'm planning to migrate user home folders and they keep their PST files there (yeah, I know.. bad practices, but I can't fix that right now).

Anyway, I'm looking for a way to argue to keep the PST's off of the Isilon and to take that argument to our upper management to get their approval to restrict PST's on Isilon shares..

Thanks,

Dave

Hi DHoffman,

There is actually some info out there on this that could be helpful for you, especially the first article. Check these out:
