isi_vol_copy Error connecting server, Error: unknown error

Hi

Running OneFS 7.1.0.5 on Isilon and OnTap 8.0.2P3 on Netapp

Error on the Isilon side:

isi_vol_copy hostname:/vol/v_seismic_00/q_segy01 /ifs//migrate/segy01 -sa root:

Password:

Error connecting server, Error: unknown error

isi_vol_copy did not run properly

Error on the Netapp side:

Tue Oct  7 10:50:59 CEST [Java_Thread:warning]: Ndmpd434: Fatal top level Exception

Tue Oct  7 10:50:59 CEST [Java_Thread:warning]: Ndmpd434: General Exception: port out range:169150073

Anyone had this error before?

On the source NetApp, what version of NDMP are you currently using?

You can issue the following

ndmpd version

If it reports back the highest version is 3, can you set it to you NDMP Version 4, by issuing

ndmpd version 4

I did a check and it is set to version 3. Forgot to check that. Thanks for your input.

So now I need check if it is possible to change.

try using -sport=

isi_vol_copy hostname:/vol/v_seismic_00/q_segy01 /ifs//migrate/segy01 -sa root -sport=

The fix was setting NDMP version to 4.
