1525 Laptop - Factory Reset Help

I have a Dell 1525 that was my grandfathers.

He passed away and I have been trying to factory reset the laptop but the usual F8 method is not working because I do not know what his password was or what the administrator password is.

Is there anyway I can factory reset without having to enter a password?

No reset disks were created.

If there is no available method to break or bypass the Password issue in the F8 Recovery Program - Is there someplace I can purchase the software/disks to reset the laptop.

I would hate to have to toss it.

As you have a laptop, I have moved this in the Laptop Forum.

No, you need the password.

If the Bios is password protected, the only way to have this remedied, is to call Dell, pay the service charge and prove ownership to obtain an override password.

The password is stored in a flash EEPROM on the motherboard, you could replace both the motherboard and hard drive.
