5558 broken Hinge.
when opening my computer I heard a crack or popping sound. e Opened fine but when I closed the left hinge was broken. The laptop still under warranty. I see many comments about the 5000 series hinges. I need this repaired. I am a college student, studying architecture. I can not send my computer to a warranty center to disappear for a week. All my projects are on my laptop. Looking for a service center and I see that people are having issues trying to get the screw that breaks due to design repaired.
Need a little help with out too much hassle.

May I do this as well? I have a Inspiron 15 (Model 5558) that made a crack sound when opening it on my desk this morning. A google search brought me to this page. What should I do if warranty is good through December 20th?
