8 beeps after bios update

My brother bought a new dell 5547 i7. He was installing drivers from here. There are two BIOS drivers listed there, he mistankely installed drivers for 5447 (listed there too). And after restart he could only hear 8 beeps. I attacked an external moniter, and it flashed a msg invalid firmware image and booted into windows. Once in windows i downloaded the correct bios from above linked site, installed it. now after booting it just gives 8 beeps, external monitor or not.

fn + power = same result

D + power = same result 

its a new laptop (bought it today). any suggestion? Is it still under warranty (after bios mess up)?
