945GM Express Chipset and OpenGL issues
I hope someone can help with this!!!
I tried to use some features on my CS4 and kept getting an error that OpenGL was not enabled, so when I tried to enable it, it was grayed out. I tried to upgrade my video card/driver and that didn't help either. I then went to the Adobe website and got the OpenGL plug-in, that did not work either. (the OpenGL option is still grayed out and it's telling me my driver or whatever does not support OpenGL)
Is it possible to install a different driver and have 2 or will it mess up my laptop? I have the Moble Intel(R) 945GM Express Chipset Family. Any and all help with this would be greatly appreciated!
More info: OK I just googled if my driver supports OpenGL now so I tried to upgrade directly from the Intel website and got this message:
Product Detected Mobile Intel® 945 Express Chipset Family Current Driver Installed 7.14.0010.1147 A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver Update Utility is not able to update the driver. Installing a generic Intel driver instead of the customized computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues. Contact your computer manufacturer for the latest driver for your computer.
Thanks so much.
Does this mean that I'm screwed? Or can I go ahead and install the generic driver? I'm clueless about this!!!!!
