AC power input broken on Vostro 3550.

Hello,

Recently my AC input broke.
When i plug it in, it doesn't make contact with the charger.
I have no more warranty on my laptop.
The model number is: Vostro 3550.
The service tag:<ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy>

Any suggestions?

You can go to the Dell website where you're located and then to the Expired Warranty support.  Dell generally charges a flat $200 fee in the US for any repair other than a mainboard or screen replacement -- you may find a local shop can replace the part for half that charge.

Depending on the model, it may require an inexpensive board or cable replacement - or an expensive mainboard replacement.  If you want to know which, post the system model.
