After Bios update - only black screen
Hello all,
ever since I installed a BIOS update for my notebook Dell Vostro 1000 ", is nothing. Before I did it was a hint. Probably had to do with the video card. Well, it allows the laptop to restart. So far so good. Then I wait for 1 hour and nothing happened. Now I have noticed that the computer always on boot the screen stays black and the non-stop. Also comes every time when starting 1 long, 2 short sounds. Means: loud graphics card error jumperz.de. But I think that it is not because, but something wrong was done.
What to do?

Whenever you install a BIOS update there's a small (maybe 1 in 25000+ chance) of a failure. You were just unlucky :(

1 long sound with 2 short sounds (also known as 1 long beep 2 short beep) is a sign you got a serious problem.
The owner's manual seems to say 3 beeps means you may need a new motherboard. See page 81. http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/vos200/en/slim_tower/om_en/pdf/PK009A01.pdf

Really a shame, but there is a solution that would work with develop the laptop?
