Alienware M11X R2 WWAN Issue
So, I recently purchased a Qualcomm Gobi 2000 WWAN card so I could use the inbuilt SIM slot on my laptop. I installed the driver for the card and it even showed up properly in Device Manager. However, when I insert a SIM card, nothing happens.
Yes, I do have the Antenna for WWAN! Do I need to install some software to make it work? How do I use a SIM card? :( Please help!

I'm not really sure. I just purchased the WWAN card off Ebay, install the driver and device manager shows it's functioning fine. When I insert the SIM though, nothing happens.

What service provider do you have?

The software is required for the WWAN card - not the SIM card -- if you can't make a connection using your SIM, that's a question for your service provider. Are you sure they support the model of WWAN card you purchased?

Do you have a data contract? You can't just take a card from a phone and have it work in a PC.

I would start by asking your service provider if that WWAN keyboard is supported on their network. My suspicion is that it may not be.
