Alienware M15x screen goes black after startup
I started getting this problem today and don't know how to fix it. After the loading screen , the password screen appears and then the screen will turn black. If I am able to click on the button to enter my password before it goes black, I can enter the password and it will load the main screen but as soon as the main screen appears, it goes black again.
Help!

After thinking about it a bit, it seems to me like I might have either a shorted circuit or a loose connection. Does this sound right?

which model do you have the new one with the new model style or the older one before september 2009? because i know in the old one this would happen because of the inverter and its honestly better to buy a new one.... or extend warranty then call a claim or something there is a reason they discontinued the m15x
