Backup and Restore the "Restore Partition" possible?
I have a dell xps 16 and an xps 1355...
I had to replace the hard drive in the 1355 and lost the "restore" partition...
I would love to not make that mistake again with my new xps 16...
Is there any way to back up and restore the "restore" partition so that it is not lost in the event of a total hard drive failure?

Just do what Dell (and any other manufacturer) recommends and do a local backup to DVD or Flash. Use backup/restore utility provided. In fact, if you don't do that, it will keep nagging you to go ahead and do that unless you tell it to completely shut errr.. down :emotion-1:
This utility is there specifically to protect against catastrophic HD failures where you lose restore partition as well.
