Best AC network adapter for Dell XPS 15 ( L502X)
Hi,
I am in process of upgrading my system to latest specification, whichever it can support. I wish to add a network adapter which supports 802.11ac. What is the best possible network adapter card that I can fit to this over 4 year old system?
I found about Intel AC 7260 card series while searching in google. But I did not find any particular model discussed anywhere.
Would someone please mention the model numbers for this or other card series launched after this series, which might be compatible with L502X chipset.

Thank you for posting. Unfortunately I only have information on wireless cards that actually shipped with the system. Here are the part numbers for the existing Intel wireless cards for the L502X.
V830R Intel Wireless 1000 802.11n
XXG96 Intel 6320 802.11 A/B/G/N
7KGX9 Intel 1030, ww 802.11 B/G/N
You can pick up a 6320 card here
I haven’t tested an 802.11 AC card on an L502x, my guess (it is only a guess) is that an 802.11ac card will work but with limited bandwidth due to the existing wireless antennas. Assuming that you were able to get full bandwidth I am not sure that you will be able to notice a difference in performance.
If anyone else has tried an Intel AC 7260 or similar card on the L502X please report here with your results.
