Biometric Validity Sensor Issues

I'm having an issue with my validity sensor, here is my run down.

Laptop: Dell Vostro 3550 //  Windows 7 Professional SP1 (64-bit)

Background: Completely rebuilt laptop using Windows 7 reinstallation DVD, and Vostro 3550 Resource Media DVD

Situation: Can't find any Fingerprint Reader icon to run biometrics software, even though drivers are recognized for Validity Sensor.

Steps I already performed:

1. Installed all necessary drivers, no yellow warning signs on device manager.

2. Verified Biometric Validity Sensor driver was recognized on Device Manager

3. Verified Updates to Windows 7 have been performed, including SP1

4. Entered Service Tag in Dell.com website to ensure latest drivers were downloaded

5. Uninstalled, and reinstalled the drivers, still recognized in device manager, but no way to run the program.

6. Checked the Program Files folder for the Validity Sensor, but was unable to locate a legitimate executable.

Would someone please tell me this is a no-brainer, and I am just going about it all wrong?

PS I'm not sure if it worked before or not, the employee who used it before no longer works with the company.
