Boot Problem

Hello Dell Community,

i am using a dell inspiron 1545. As i open the laptop before windows starts. i got a message like this "Use up and down arrow keys to move the pointer to the desired boot device. Press enter to attempt the boot or escape to cancel.

internal HDD

CD/DVD/CD-RW drive

Onboard NIC

BIOS setup

Diagnostics

i tried to choose all the options but nothings happening. whenever i type in keyboard, for example i press escape button task manager appear, then sometimes the Number Buttons and windows button not working.

everytime i open the laptop that message appears. May i know why do this message appear before windows starts?

How can i resolve the problem? What steps should i take?

Thank you in advance

Hi,

We are suspecting problem with the keyboard, may be sticky keys.

Please find the link below on how to remove the keyboard

and if possible try an external keyboard post removal of the inbuilt one and let us know how it goes.
