Broadcom USH on Windows 8 64-bit
I am running Windows 8 64-bit on a Dell Latitude E6430. In device manager under Other Devices it lists Broadcom USH w/swipe sensor and there are no drivers installed for it. I cannot find drivers or Dell ControlPoint for Windows 8 64-bit or any downloads under Security on the support website for Windows 8 64-bit. Does anybody know when something might be released or have a link to download what I am missing?

My workstation upgraded from Windows 8.1 Pro x64 to Windows 10 Pro x64. At the time of Upgrade I was using this firmware and driver:
Dell ControlVault Firmware Update (INSTALL FIRST)
Dell ControlVault Driver
There are two fingerprint reader options for the Latitude E6430 (the Precision M4500 as well):
Optional SmartCard Reader/Contactless SmartCard Reader/Fingerprint Reader or FIPS Fingerprint Reader, Additional USB 3.0 ports option via E-Modular Bay II.
My M4500 has the Broadcom 5880 USH which continues to work under Windows 10. There is a discrepancy in the driver reported by:
Device Manager>Biometric devices>Control Vault w/ Fingerprint Swipe Sensor>Properties>Driver version>6.1.760016385 (Broadcom Corporation)
Dell>Support Assist>USB Devices>5880>Driver Version>10.0.10586-0,6-21-2006 (Microsoft)
It was originally shipped with this software:
Control Point System Manager,Latitude/Precision,1.4
Dell Control Point Security Manager,Latitude /Precision,1.4.00002
I hope some of this helps. It took me trying various drivers from multiple sources until I found the one that is still currently working. It becomes very difficult when the machines become unsupported and the drivers on the Product Support page become out of date.
