Charging Issue
I have an Inspiron 5758 and I couldn't find my charger for it. So I bought a universal charger that would fit. It made changes to my computer and now I have the original charger, but it always says plugged in and not charging. If you can help fix this problem that would be GREAT! Thanks.

Is the issue that the original adapter isn't recognized (enter setup -- F2 at powerup) -- if the adapter shows unknown, the battery will not charge.
If that is happening, try a new Dell adapter (third party adapters will run the system but not charge the battery). If that doesn't solve the issue, replace the DC jack:

... and if that doesn't get the adapter recognized, the issue is with the charge circuit on the mainboard.
