Choosing the right thermal paste for Inspiron 1464

Hi All,

I am having a Dell Inspiron 1464 laptop with Windows 7 running on dual core Intel i3 2.13 Ghz processor. Its based on Intel motherboard.

Recently I just cleaned the the heatsink and, fan and removed a lot of dust from inside which was causing the core temp. rise to 80 Deg. Cel.

Now the temperature is back to approximately. 40 Deg. Cel range. I am thinking of applying a better thermal paste as well.

Please suggest the right thermal compound for my laptop spec.

So far, I have shortlisted  Arctic Silver® 5 (High-Density Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound)           Link here

Is this the right one..? Any better alternatives...?

Please share your expertise.
Thanks in advance,
-Jay.

Arctic Silver is a standard. You should have no problems. Just make sure you follow directions and do NOT use too much paste.

Thanks KirkD.
I will find some information on how to correctly apply the thermal paste.
