Crackling Audio - Laptop

So I have a brand new (5 days old) Dell Inspiron 7559 laptop. Since day one I've had issues with the audio. Playing any youtube video the audio crackles horribly to where nothing can be heard. This only happens if another tab is open. If I stay on the current page then no issues, except it will make a glitching sound for a split second throughout the video a few times. I have checked all the audio drivers for any updates but it says all the latest are installed. Any ideas? thanks.
