D800 bootable from USB key?

Question

Can a Latitude D800 with the latest BIOS revision A05 boot from a Dell 64MB/128MB USB key (assuming the key has been made bootable via the Dell Smart Modular Bootable utility)?

If so, which BIOS revision enabled USB key boot?

If not, is Dell releasing an updated BIOS with USB key bootability?

Thank you for using Dell's Community Forum.

I haven’t tried it, but you can enter the BIOS and go to the second page (boot page) and select to boot off of “USB storage device”.
See if that works.

Thanks, just noticed BIOS A03 added USB butterfly compatibility, so maybe booting off one'll work. Chip

We've done it though it is slow.  We had to set the USB emulation back.
