DELL 1535 connect sata Hhard drive with esata

Hi,

I remove from the DELL studio 1535 laptop my old HDD and add SSD. But when i connect my old HDD with sata->esata cable, computer don't find it.

I can hear the hard drive spins, so cable is good.

My cable: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Power-Over-eSATAp-eSATA-to-SATA-22-pin-Adapter-Cable-2-5-3-5-HDD-12V-5V-Power-/221154596607

Wndows 7 Ptoshow errors:

I download and install this two dell drivers (R243820.exe and Ricoh_R5C833_A00_R240788.exe), but is the same.

Thanks

Hi Meskiuss,

Please share the Operating System installed. Also, share the screen shot of the Device Manager with the devices which has yellow bang on them. Here are the steps to access Device Manager:

  • Press the key combination of 'Windows Logo' key + 'R' key to open 'Run' dialog box.
  • Type in 'devmgmt.msc' and click 'OK'.
  • The 'Device Manager' windows will appear.

My recommendation would be to use External Hard Drive Enclosure, instead of using eSATA to SATA 22 pin Adapter Cable which is more effective in this case. Please check the link http://dell.to/19RwIY7 for an example of External Hard Drive Enclosure.

Please reply if you have any questions. I'll be happy to assist you further.

Hi,

My OS is Windows 7 Pro. Device manager don't have any yellow bangs.

Maybe dell have some SD card reader soft or esata drivers?

I think that the computer understands the second hard drive as a SD card and do not know how to read it.

Hi Meskiuss,

There is no driver missing on the system. It appears that the system is not detecting the SSD drive. I would recommend you to use and External Hard Drive Enclosure for this.
