DELL Inspiron 5520 Radeon 7670 upgrade
Hey there,
I triede looking for a post like that, but couldn't find one so i decided to make one.
As you probably see, I have an Inspiron 5520 with i7 and a second GPU(Radeon 7670m) with 1GB and I was wondering, if it's possible to upgrade the GPU with one that's more powerful, for example a 7670m with 2 Gb.

Hey there,
thanks for the answer! My System Tag is and it should be registered under Peter Ivanov, email: . I know that on my model the only external GPU tried by Dell is 7670m, as I have one with 1 Gb. I was thinking about to maybe try changing it with the same model(7670m) but with 2 Gb, as I am sure that there are configurations with this GPU with 2 Gbs. If you can tell me that another one will fit, I could try also with another model.

Thanks for writing to us.
On a laptop in order to change the graphics card the entire motherboard needs to be changed.
On this model only one card has been tried by Dell i.e 7670.
We have rarely come across our customer who tried changing the graphics on a laptop.
Do provide us the system tag# and also confirm the name the system is registered under. Let us
know the contact number and email address.

I have also another question. My Configuration at moment is with 8(2x4) Gb RAM. Could the motherboard support, let's say 16(2x8) or something like that ?

Max RAM is 2X4 = 8G.
