DELL XPS 13 (9343) 2015 model Screen flickers after clean Windows 10 install

I did a clean Windows 10 install on my new XPS13 2015 edition. Latest drivers but when it comes out of sleep the screen flickers really bad. It did not do this when I was running Windows 8.1 Any ideas? I thought a clean install would be better than upgrading but now I am having my doubts.

Hello,

I've posted in another thread as well. Reinstalling video drivers or BIOS didn't help.

The issue doesn't occur in safe mode, however, safe mode can't be used all the time.

Please do help out. The issue is becoming unbearable.

Hi MrStrode,

I would suggest you to check if the issue reoccurs in the safe mode.

Also, please check if there is any facial recognition application or Norton antivirus is installed

In addition, I would suggest you to update the BIOS and Video card driver on the system. Please enter your service tag # on the link below, select the OS, then download the BIOS from BIOS section and Video card driver from Video section onto the system and install it.

Please let me know if this helps.

Issue does not occur in safe mode. I have latest BIOS and video drivers. This sounds like a video driver problem. Is this being looked at by Dell Techs?

The same thing occurs on my brand new  XPS 13 received yesterday.  I changed resolution to a lower resolution, then when switched back and voila, the problem was fixed.  But like  you,  every time I come out of sleep, the screen  flickers and open windows move around randomly.  Dell needs to look at this now.

I too am experiencing this problem. Brand-new XPS13 with clean install of Windows 10 (64-bit Enterprise).

I'll try re-installing the display + bios drivers, but I don't think it is that.

I hope a solution is offered soon, else I'll sadly have to return the computer.

Hi,

Please uninstall the Video card drivers from the system and then restart the system to check if issue reoccurs.

Also, please private message us the system service tag so that I can check and assist you further.

Hey DELL-Ravi how about letting Dell know that we need an updated driver for Windows 10. There is not a driver listed for our model notebook with Windows 10. The only driver listed is for Windows 8.1. Oh, and please stop with the "canned" answer.....its getting old and is not applicable to our problem, as I'm sure you can tell by now with the multiple post from others that have the same issue.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the video cards,  same thing happened, but only for a second and stopped on it's own. I will monitor the  situation and post if problem reoccurs.

Hi MrStrode,

I would suggest you to install the Windows 8.1 video card driver in compatibility mode to check if the issue fixes.

Don't waste your time with Ravi's suggestions.
