Hi bonifacepascal,
As rightly suggested by "ieee488", please let us know which data card are you referring to.
If it is media card reader, please install driver using link given below:
http://dell.to/1bAZOd4

what kind of "data card" are you talking about?

Thanks ieee488 and Manshu. After the driver installation, the data card was detected. It is an SD card, which I use in my digital camera.
