Dell Duo Inspiron 1090 Battery Replacement
Is there a better battery out there for the Dell Duo Inspiron 1090? The batter life on mine is and has always been about 2 hours at best. As Dell pretty much abandoned this unit soon after releasing it, I can't find much 'honest' information.
Also, is the battery user replaceable?. Most of what I'm reading says no.

Dell doesn't consider the battery user-replaceable, but neither does it require specialized tools to replace. The service manual is here:

It doesn't look like there's an option for anything but a 4-cell battery, which means you won't find one that extends the runtime of the system.
