Dell Image Restore on Dell Vostro 1500
I know how to do the image restore where i push f8 then go to repair computer and pick language then log in but when i login it only has the first five options and where the dell image restore should be its not. i don't know what to do and i don't want to go to a computer store and pay 80$ to let them do it. I am out of warranty so i can not call dell with questions or i would have to wait an hour and pay 50$. Please does anyone know what to do?

If you've altered the system so as to remove the image restore, you'll need to install Vista from the DVD. BEFORE you do this, BACK UP the c:\dell directory to a CD or flash drive, so you have your drivers. Insert the Vista DVD, install Vista and then install the Dell notebook system software and chipset driver - followed by the other drivers.
