Dell Inspirion 3148 keyboard (left side keys like 1, Q, A, Z, Caps Lock) keys are not functioning)

My Dell Inspirion 3148 (Intel i3) laptop's certain keys are not functioning, I have updated all the drivers now what can be done?

Hi MBP02,

As I see that you have updated all drivers on the system. Please check if you have updated the BIOS on the computer if not please update it.

Also, I’d advise that you load defaults in the BIOS. Please follow the steps mentioned below to load the BIOS to defaults.

  1. Reboot the computer.
  2. When prompted during POST, press the key to enter the setup screen.
  3. On the System Setup screen, press the key.
  4. Press the key on Yes to Load Optimized Defaults and restart the computer.

In addition, please connect an external USB keyboard to the system to check if issue reoccurs.

As per your suggestion I have checked accordingly and kept the default values in BIOS but still the problem is as it is. What needs to be done now, What is the current version of BIOS I should have?

The latest BIOS version is A06 on Dell Inspiron 11 3148.
