Dell Inspiron 13 7348 video playback dropping frames

Hello all,

My newly purchased laptop seems to suffers from micro stutters and dropped frames when playing videos. This happens to offline videos downloaded, and streaming videos from youtube. This affects all video formats, 360, 480, 720 and 1080p. It's weird because you would assume an Intel i7 5500 with integrated Intel HD 5500 graphics to be able to effortlessly play HD video smoothly. The drops on offline video ranges from 1-3 frames every 5 seconds, and 1-3 frames every 3 seconds for youtube streaming. I have the latest drivers for my graphics, so that shoulnd't be the problem. My old laptop from a few years ago does not even display dropped frames for youtube streaming. So does anyone havea clue?
