Dell Inspiron 15 - 3520 - Key pad mouse button problem
Reformated my laptop and now the mouse pad left/right buttons no longer work.
Updated with latest drivers to no prevail..some please help.

I'm having the same problem and I didn't reformat anything. Touchscreen laptop but, I primarily use the touchpad I the right/left click don't work.

Hi ShopMom,
Sorry to hear about the issue you are facing. Do both the right and left clicks not work on the touchpad? Have you connected an external mouse and checked if the same works fine on your computer? Check the touchpad properties settings in the Control Panel.

You may also have to update the touchpad drivers for your computer. Since you have not mentioned the system model name, the link below is for the Dell Support Home Page. Please enter your service tag/ system model name to access the drivers and downloads available for your system. Remember to select the correct operating system prior to downloading and installing the driver. Reboot the system once the driver has been installed and then check if the issue is resolved.

i have the exact same issue, mine is the dell inspiron 3520 all of the sudden the left and right click stopped working, and I am running windows 8.1

I use Dell inspiron 3442. I bought this an year ago. For two days the left right buttons on keypad are not working. Horrible horrible horrible *** laptop.
