Dell Inspiron 5547 Slow clicking noise
My 2 year old 5547 just stopped starting no screen and a slow clicking noise. i took the back off and thought it was the hard drive. I replaced the hard drive ad restarted no change. I took out the battery and reseated it. Still a slow clicking noise that now seems to becoming from the fan which is clean no dust. Any ideas?

It appears that you have narrowed the 3RRG4 fan has the possible culprit. As a test, unplug the fan from the motherboard. Power on only long enough to verify that the clicking noise is NOT there, then power off.
