Dell Inspiron 7537 - Keyboard

Hi,

Will it be possible to change the default backlit silver keyboard to backlit black keyboard (of Inspiron 5000) or of any other model? The reason is with backlit on it's difficult to distinguish the lit character from key surface color in room with fluorescent light.

Any idea??

But in Inspiron 5000, the keyboard seems same as that of Inspiron 7537, so if connectors are same then it's possible to replace.

Dell's R&D is useless.

>The display of 7537 is inferior than studio 1558.
>Processor is not upgradable.
>Keyboard color makes hard to understand the character with backlit on under fluorescent light.
>USB ports are so closely placed that if a Datacard is attached then other port get blocked.
>What's the use of touchscreen in Laptop. It's not a tab.

tdas777,

Thank you for providing the service tag, we tried to change the part unfortunately we do not have an option to change the part as it takes the default part which initially came with the computer.
Also we do not have an option to mismatch the other model computer parts since the logistic will not allow to do the same.

Well, that seems your database is not programmed to swap parts or customize configurations; that is your database fault.

If physically the keyboard of inspiron 5000 or any other model is same (by Design, dimensions, connectivity jacks etc), apart from the body color; then it can be replaced.

We appricate for the time taken to do the part analysis, we will pass this feedback to the relavant department.
You may check with local computer store for the same as the part is not available with Dell.
