Dell Inspiron M5010 7 beeps at startup
My Dell has stopped working this morning. When I switch on I get 7 beeps then a gap then 7 beeps etc. Having searched this forum I can see many others have had this problem. The question is, what are my options. It is out of warranty (of course !!)

Hello Martin,
I am on my second failure of this sort (2nd of three laptops I bought together). There is a company on ebay who will fix it for $45. The error (7 beeps) is a video error. Something disconnects on the mother board and has to be re-soldered. Turn around is very good. The user name is Flexteks. Hope it helps. Dell was gracious to repair mine for me and is still working ( Royan S. helped me). Not sure if they will do another one for me, which is why I am here.
