Dell Inspiron Mini 1018

I have an Inspiron Mini Netbook 1018 and I can't remember my password to the administrator. I can only go in as a guest now or under my daughter's account, which is not an admin account,  who we purchased the netbook for.  I am using what I thought to be the password I originally set up for this, but it does not seem to recognize it.  I tried to reset it by using a flash drive like it said but then it said to put in the reset password disc into the disk drive. I can't put a disc in it because there is no disc drive.  I just need to be able to log on as admin again so I can change settings and allow downloads.  Even if I have to reinstall the operating system, that would be fine.  What can I do?  Please Help.
