Dell Latitude E7420 display very dim on laptop disply and external monitors, on AC adapter and dock
This system had a new motherboard installed two weeks ago that resolved this issue three weeks ago for 3 days. Power sttings are set to never dim, full brightness for both AC and battery. Bios is also dim and it is set to never dim and 100% brightness. Do I change the motherboard again?

Hi,
How is the display when the LCD BIST( Built in self test ) is initiated?( To initiate LCD BIST, restart the system then press the D-key on system startup .This will display solid colours on the screen check if the display goes dim during the process).
Does the display go dim when the screen is titled at different angle's?
Also do send the service tag of the system via private message so that I can check the system specifications to assist you further.

Sorry it took so long to answer. I caught a bug and have been out. The service tag is H5N5VZ1 and the display is dim in BIOS and the LCD BIST. Tilting the screen has no change, and the external monitor is dim.
