Dell Vostro 5470 not booting
Hello All,
I bought Dell Laptop Vostro 5470 with Window 8 last month. After 2 weeks it stopped booting. The screen shows "Preparing Automatic Repair" and continues on restarting with no good result. Please help
Also, please let me know where can I find the Windows 8 product key that is installed in there as I need this to create a re-installation USB.

Run an extended hard drive diagnostic - hold the D key at powerup to get in.
Windows 8 keys are embedded onto the mainboard - they are not needed to restore the system using the Dell restore media. If you use WIndows 8 from another source, you will need to purchase a new key.
