I've purchased a Dell XPS 13 9360 and I've had problems with the video flickering. It happens about every 5-10 minutes for about 5 seconds.
I've spent probably 30-40 hours trying to resolve the issue and I'm pretty fed up with it over the last 2-3 months. I didn't notice it enough to decide ultimately to get my money back but it is too late.
Thanks for the post and information. What is the long term resolution? Do I selectively never choose to update to the proper device driver?
I need a replacement unit, and I'll continue on with my BBB complaint and reviews until Dell has the gumption to make this right
According to the information I sent, the Dell Intel HD Graphics driver 188.8.131.5274 is confirmed issue-free.
If you have already upgraded the nVidia graphics driver with the driver package downloaded from nVidia support site while attempting to fix the flickering issue, please roll back to the Dell official release version to avoid any issues that may present.
Robert, XPS 13 9360 does not have a NVidia card, so I have no idea why you are refering to NVidia driver. I install the new Intel HD graphic driver and I confirm that problem is not solved. I can easily be reproduced: Upgrade to Windows Pro, enable Hyper-V, Reboot and your screen will start flickering after a while.
It is consistently broken on all laptop I tried (This one and the previous one I had).
I have the same issue. Occur very seldom.
There are tones of posts in the community regarding this issue, though Dell is still so helpless.
Im search for that everyday to see if anyone has solved it already.
As u can see, they would only reply some sort of bull sh..
@DELL-Robert P - The guide you linked to is completely wrong. The issue has not been resolved. There is an 11 page (and growing) thread of people continuing to have this very issue. It has persisted with all versions of the Intel drivers made available via the Dell site (including the recent 4627 drivers): en.community.dell.com/.../20007351
It is really worrying that Dell employees think this issue is resolved because it sounds like they are just giving up with this issue. It has been an issue since the 9550 and that was never resolved. I'm guessing we're all stuck with £2,000 laptops with screen flicker.
Dell 9560: 7700HQ / 32 GB RAM / 1 TB Drive / 4k screen with flicker and browser/Excel stutter lag / wifi with regular signal loss
