Dell XPS 1647 USB ports not working.
My USB ports are not working. Appears to be hardware, When I look into the slot, one of the ports is completely busted and the other one only works intermittently. Are there any adaptors that would give me USB functionality? I.E HDMI to USB or something like that. I think replacing the hardware would be too expensive.

Unfortunately, no - this system doesn't have an external expresscard slot.
You either need to replace the plug-in board the ports are on, or the mainboard - depending on where they're located.
