Dell XPS 17 L702X does not send video signal via displayport
Connected my laptop to a DELL U2713HM monitor via the displayport but I do not get a video signal. Tried extending the desktop, or duplicating it but no video signal is sent to the monitor.
Please assist.

Welcome to the community.
You should certainly be able to get an image on the external monitor. In troubleshooting I would have the notebook and monitor disconnected. Power up the notebook and connect the display port cable, then connect it to the monitor and power on the monitor and see if you receive a display. Check the display settings and see if the external monitor is detected.
If the problem continues test the monitor with other display port cables and notebooks. Try to find out if the problem follows the monitor, the display port cable or the PC. Please let me know what you find out.

I just received a brand new replacement monitor from Dell.
Same issue. :emotion-6:
Is there a particular mini displayport to displayport cable you can recommend that works?
