Dell XPS 9350 - Fan does not turn on unless it hits 83 degrees Celsius.

Is there any way to lower the threshold temp for when the fan comes on? I've downloaded Dell Power Command and set it to "cool" - but it does not change the fan.

Are all 9350's set this way? Is there any way to change it? I'd much prefer if the fan kicked on when it hit 60.

(I have the most recent BIOS.)

Thanks!

Hi ITSGOINDOWN,

The fans are designed to run automatically when the system temperature reaches a specific point.

If you wish to change the fan settings, you could download and configure SpeedFan and that should serve the purpose - http://bit.ly/Yznvna

This blog might help you with the configuration - http://bit.ly/2cG3Dcj

Also, please click my DELL-username and write me a private conversation with the service tag and your contact details(Name and Email) for case records.

Let us know if you have any other queries.

Speedfan cannot control the fan for the XPS 13 9350...

Still hoping for a solution.
