Dell XPS L702X won't start with battery in, works with battery removed
Hi all,
I'm hoping you may be able to help me with a problem I'm having on my Dell XPS L702X running Windows 7 Home Premium. I have been using this laptop for four years without problem, but suddenly now the laptop does not start if the battery is attached - whether or not the power supply is connected. However, if I remove the battery, the laptop will run fine if the power supply is connected.
I've searched for users with similar problems but have not found any with a problem quite like mine - is anyone able to assist?

I have just encountered the exact same problem. In recent days the battery would stop charging until I played around with the plug. Now the computer wont work unless the battery is removed and the AC power connector attached. So sounds like the same problem as you. Did you resolve yours?
