Dell inspiron 14z ultrabook windows 8 (current 8.1)

Hi dell community, i have bought a dell inspiron 14z ultrabook with windows 8, so after a while the system required me to update the OS to 8.1 so, i updated it. after updating it. there's a few error that appears in my screen. first the host catalyst control has stopped working, so i search it, and i was repaired (idk if its really repaired) and then after that i received a msg written in the box "iexplore.exe - entry point not found" i dont know what's wrong with this. and also i want to ask if its possible to format a OS without using cd or dvd. coz i dont have a genuine windows 8. Please help. I really appreciate. Thank you so much.
