Dell inspiron 1520 Factory Restore
Hello
Unable to factory restore my Inspiron 1520 - XP version. CTRL/F11 doesn't work, the VISTA process for F8 doesn't work either.
I've not removed any Dell PC restore software or functions.
I'm donating this device to a local daycare and need to make sure it's stripped back to the bare bones so they can add all the usual security checks they need to.
Appreciate any help. Ta

If the F11 menu is gone the factory internal partition is likely corrupt.
I would advise securely wiping it with DBAN:

This will wipe the drive and remove all personal data on the drive. The local daycare centre should have someone that's able to load Windows and might have a Windows 7 license. However if you have Reinstallation Discs you can manually reinstall it.
