Dell inspiron 1525 800 mhz ram upgrade
I want to upgrade the 3g ram 667 mhz of my laptop with 2 brand new stick of 2 gb each resulting in 4 gb of ram. Thing is i want to get 800 mhz, will my inspiron 1525 support it?
Config:
Core2Duo T8100, 2.1 ghz alias Penryn-3M
3g ram 667 mhz
GMA x3100 with 1440x900 display, 9 cell battery
802.11n wifi card

No. The chipset in the system has a RAM max of 667 MHz - you can install PC2-6400 RAM, but it will run at 667 MHz.
For 800 MHz bus RAM support you need one of the newer systems using a Centrino2/Montevina chipset - the older chipset you have doesn't support RAM at 800 MHz.
